Reverse Osmosis (RO) removes contaminants from water by using pressure to force water molecules through a semipermeable membrane. During this process, the salt/ions/mineral are filtered out and rejected as RO concentrate leaving high purity RO permeate as product water.
A RO system is able to remove 96% of the salt/mineral contained in the feed water and it is measured by conductivity or Total dissolved Solid (TDS).
The system will reject about 30% of the concentrate reject water, however client can choose to reuse the concentrate water for other general usage.
There are two types of RO system: Brackish RO (For feed water with TDS <5000ppm) and Seawater RO (for sea water desalination purpose)
Advantage of Reverse Osmosis:
 |
High Salt Rejection Rate |
 |
Environmental friendly - Less harzadous wastewater |
 |
Reject water can be recycle and use for general purpose |
