Dynalon provides a complete line of filtration methods to remove a wide range of particulate matter such as suspended particles, chlorine, hardness, gases and others substances from water.
Some of the pre-treatment filters that Dynalon offers include:

Sand Filter
Sand filtration is used for the removal of suspended solids such as silt, clay, organic matter in raw water. Water flows vertically through a fine bed of sand and/or gravel whereby particles are removed by physical encapsulation. Sand filter often used as a pretreatment filter before the water is further treated with other filtration or ion-exchange system.
Typically the functionality of a sand filter can be determined by measuring the filtered water Silt Density Index (SDI) and Turbidity, where SDI should be less than 4 or Turbidity below 1 NTU.

Carbon Filter
Carbon filtration is used for the removal of taste and odors, including chlorine, and most organic chemical contaminant through adsoprtion of these contaminant on surface of activated carbon granules.
Carbon Filter is frequently used as one of the pretreatment systems prior to RO system as the presence of free Chlorine will oxidize and degrade the surface of RO Membrane.

Iron Removal
Iron removal is designed to remove excess iron and maganese content in feed water by oxidizing the ions and converting them from their dissolved state into precipitates.
Typically, iron removal filter is frequently used to treat underground water because it contains high iron and maganese content.

Softener
Water softener is used to remove mineral ions in hard water, especially the metal cations calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+). Inside the softener where the ion exchange process occurs, calcium and magnesium displace the positively charged sodium ion from the negatively charged exchange sites of the resin beads.
When the resin bed is saturated with the hardness constituents, thereafter the softener is regenerated by using sodium chloride (brine).
Hard water ought to be treated with softener before entering the RO system to reduce precipitation and deposition of sparingly soluble salts which can cause RO membrane fouling.
